Serengeti River Crossing Safari & Zanzibar Beach Escape

Morning: Scheduled flight from Arusha to the Kogatende area of the northern Serengeti. Afternoon: Met at the airstrip and straight into a game drive through the migration country. Evening: Arrive in camp on the Mara as the herds settle.

Morning: A full day at the river. Your guide reads the herds and positions for the crossing points. Afternoon: Lunch in the field. Crocodile in the water, lion in the grass beyond it. Evening: Back to camp after sunset.

Morning: A second full day, which is what turns a glimpse of the migration into properly watching it. Afternoon: Work a different stretch of the Mara, or stay with a sighting that is developing. Evening: Dinner around the fire.

Morning: An optional balloon safari at first light, followed by a bush breakfast. Afternoon: Drive south through the park, viewing game as the country opens out. Evening: Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon. Optional Sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti from USD 599 per person.

Morning: Seronera at first light, the resident heart of the park. Afternoon: Full day of game viewing with lunch carried, among lion, leopard and cheetah. Evening: Return as the light goes.

Morning: Leave the plains early and climb into the Ngorongoro highlands. Afternoon: Descend onto the crater floor for a full game drive: elephant, lion, flamingo and black rhino. Evening: Climb out in the late afternoon and settle in on the rim.

Morning: Breakfast, then the transfer to the airport for the scheduled flight from Ngorongoro to Zanzibar. Afternoon: Met on arrival and transferred to the resort on the coast. Check in, and the rest of the day is yours. Evening: Dinner by the sea.

Morning: Nothing is scheduled. The reef holds the water flat and clear, and the morning is yours. Afternoon: Swim, read, or take a treatment at the spa. Evening: Sundowners, then dinner at the resort. No scheduled activities. Excursions can be arranged locally on request.
