5 Day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, or board an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. You are welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for the night, where a briefing and welcome dinner set the stage for the days ahead.

Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, and its landscape of ancient baobabs and seasonal swamps creates a dramatic backdrop for game viewing. Settle in for the night at your camp or lodge within the park.

A second full day exploring Tarangire's rich ecosystems — river banks, open savannah, and thick woodland. Lion, leopard, buffalo, and a wealth of birdlife await. In the late afternoon, depart for your lodge in Karatu, the gateway to the Ngorongoro highlands.

Rise early for the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. One of Africa's most iconic wildlife arenas, the crater floor is home to an astonishing concentration of resident animals, including the rare black rhino. Enjoy a full day on the crater floor, breaking for a picnic lunch beside the soda lake, before returning to the rim as the sun sets over the caldera.

After a final highland breakfast, depart for Arusha. Connect with your onward flight to Zanzibar or your international departure at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Five days well spent in the company of Africa's finest wildlife.
