SAFARI BLUE

Safari Blue is Zanzibar’s signature full-day ocean excursion, a journey by traditional wooden dhow through the crystal-clear waters of the Menai Bay Conservation Area, one of the island’s most pristine marine environments.

Sail between sandbanks and small islands, snorkel over vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, and visit a pristine sandbar that appears only at low tide — a stretch of white sand surrounded by impossibly blue water.

The Seafood Experience

The highlight of the day is a freshly prepared seafood lunch served on a secluded beach.

Best Time to Go

The best conditions are between June and March, when the sea is calmer and visibility is excellent.

The excursion operates year-round, except during the heaviest rains in April and May.
