Serengeti National Park Tanzania

Overview

Serengeti National Park is one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Tanzania. The park is famous for its vast endless plains, incredible wildlife diversity, and the spectacular Great Migration.

Every year, more than two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles migrate across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. This dramatic movement of wildlife includes thrilling river crossings filled with crocodiles and intense predator action.

The Serengeti is home to the legendary Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. The park also hosts one of the largest populations of lions in Africa, as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of safari experiences including game drives, luxury tented camps, and unforgettable hot air balloon safaris at sunrise. Floating silently above the plains while watching wildlife below is one of the most unique experiences in Africa.

With its breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and year-round safari opportunities, Serengeti National Park remains one of the most extraordinary wildlife destinations on Earth.
